What is it?:
Verb Draughts is a game which is inspired by the classic game of Draughts and can be used by players with varying levels of English. There are 4 different draught boards to choose from.
Language Objectives:
Players move the pieces on the board to try and eliminate their opponent. As they move across the board they practise using the verbs they find along the way.
Contents:
The game includes:
• 4 draught boards (for different categories of verbs)
• 30 black pieces and 30 white pieces
• 6 cards with subject pronouns
• 4 cards with sentence types
• 10 cards with verb forms
• the instruction booklet with the instructions and suggestions on how to use the game in the classroom or at home with friends
• a video tutorial available on line on the ELI multi-media channel
